Ashish

London fashion week is here!!!!

I've been so busy working i've been looking forward to checking out all the amazing shows, for yesterday one particular mans collection stood out to me and thats Ashish Gupta the whole collection was complete florals and thats already a man after my own heart. The sparkle off every sequin on the large bold, bright floral prints were beautiful. The big sunflower prints pop out and the contrast of floral prints, animal prints and retro op art prints is genius and makes the collection unique. I loved the different flowers tired round the black biker boots and dark lips giving the collection a masculine edge. The long slit dress i think is exquisit its elegant but boisterous and certainly is a entrance making look. I love this collection and will definatley try and find a student priced alternative.

The Gaga

So THE Lady Gaga has released her new video for her new single You and I and I’m not embarrassed to say I’ve watched it...numerous times. It's just incredible will she ever have an off day. She amazes me how she can pull off dressing as her male alter ego, a mermaid, a bride and a Frankenstein monster in one video amongst the many over exquisite outfits. As well as the super platform stiletto heels, giant gaga glasses and the cute silk nighty dress she wears in a more simplistic looking gaga the leather harness caught my eye straight away. For a start she's sporting a long turquoise hairdo which i just love but the harness itself is by her very own leather designer Zana Bayne. Its flamboyant but masculine, many intertwining leather belts wrapped around the body flattering a woman’s figure perfectly (not that gaga needs it), one of many Zana Bayne's harness creations i'm sure this isn't the last we see of them.
I'm not afraid to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER.

Sixties Comeback

The sixties are back swinging style.
The sixties comeback for autumn/winter 2011-12 has really caught my eye, I love the ladylike glamour of sixties style and so has the catwalks in London and Milan. Bottega Veneta, Prada, Burberry and Jean Paul Gaultier graced the shows with their Mod inspired creations.  With stiff fabrics like wool and felt holding the shape of the classic sixties shift dress or even the matching two piece suit for the powerful but ladylike women. Miniskirts Mary Quant style, graphic printed prada pinafores and Burberrys take on the classic sixties perfect fit winter coat in bright reds and oranges. I LOVED the Bottega Veneta dainty strappy heels and the bouffant hair styles they gave the new sixties girly glamour that everlasting retro style.

Newbie

Okay, I’m a true newbie to blogger so I do intend to make my blog a lot more interesting as I get used to the different controls. But for now this is the start of my blog style bloom. The name I think represents fashion and how new ideas and inspirations bloom into beautiful worldwide trends.
