60 years of elegance

Queen Elizabeth II is under almost every British eye this weekend and I thought i would look at her 60 year reign of style! She may not be immediately seen as a fashion guru but she has a very elegant unique personal style. Elegance i believe is something a person is born with, from her many extravagant hats to her glistening jewels the queen is the definition of elegance. This outfit from her early days as queen is definitely my favourite of hers, it shows she's not afraid to show herself of with style, grace and glamour. God save the queen!

Madeira

Just got back from a beautiful holiday to the Portuguese island of Madeira. The hotel (quinta splendida) we stayed at had such an explosion of tropical colours and textures! Known for its botanical gardens it could inspire any creative mind!

Burberrys collaboration with music

There's nothing I love more than a music collaboration, and as I search for inspiring campaigns for my own work, I stumbled across the new Burberry eyewear campaign. As recent campaigns have shown Burberry has a strong reputation for celebrating new up and coming talent, for example Eddie Redmayne as the face for the spring/summer 12 collection. This eyewear collection stared exciting new artists like duo the day dream club, Marika Hackman and band One Night Only. The campaign is simple but beautiful in black and white with an edge on the classic aviator style. These artists will also release a track and music video each to support the campaign and headline at the Burberry gigs in Paris, Milan, New York and Sydney. The Burberry brand is going up, up and up in a currently struggling market, definitely well deserved!

The Carrie Diaries

Now I don't know about anyone else but this up-and-coming tv event I can hardly wait for! The telegraph even says "The TV event of the decade." The date it hits our screens hasn't been officially set yet but as the most recent notch on this exciting belt is released I have to share it. I can only hope that the fashion and style in the series will be just as spectacular as the sex and the city original series and films and here is a sneak peek at what I found. The expected 'carrie' garment to match the necklace was of corse this eighties paint splattered leather bag, the over obvious personal touch that swarms Carrie Bradshaw's style should be inspiring to every creative out there and i cant wait to see actress AnnaSophia take it on. I CANNOT wait for this I'm sure there's a lot more excited things to see yet!

Marni!

The marni at h&m party was such a good night, free champagne, cocktails, a lovely new men's tshirt (the stick man print on it won me over, he's now called Tim) and the chance to see the amazing new collection that has come out if this clever collaboration!

Oh BOY, Rhi Rhi!

If anyone was watching the Jonathan Ross (Wossey) show on Saturday you would have seen the amazing beautiful Rihanna! True product placement style she looked street edgy and individual in the Boy London clothing brand, with the unisex flat peek, mini pleated skirt and shirt combo all plastered with the boy logo its no wonder reports now show a 45% increase of online sales! These leggings are especially nice and in fitting with the current trend of interesting print leggings, check the brand out I can see lots more to come!

Beside the seaside!

Today I took the plunge and went to the beach for the first time this year, the sun was shining so automatically as the British bird I am, I leaped at the chance of pretending it's summer.... It was extremely cold it is march but I did take some really pretty pictures. With the current aquatic ocean theme trend seen in beautiful collections from Chanel, McQueen and Mary Katrantzou it was fitting, I adore this Versace dress, the print is artistic and mystical and I love the mixture of shades of blue/green.

Marni party

Only 5 days left until me and my dearest kathryn go to the marni at h&m launch party! A collaboration thats going to fly off the shelves especially with that beautiful exotic advert directed by THE Sophia Coppola. Excited!

Growing obsession with eyes

After recently taking a few photos of my boyfriends and friends beautiful eyes I can't stop noticing people with such amazing eyes! I loved this photo we took here I'd like it on a tshirt, any takers? :)

Returning from the woodwork!

It's no secret I've neglected my blog over the last few months but I'm back! So it's fashion month and Carven's autumn/winter 2012 collection was so beautiful on the Paris runway! The dolly like shapes were so cute almost Alice esque! The suede dresses especially this Paisley like print really caught my eye I love the pattern first because i even have paisley tattooed on me but I also love the structured looking shape of the entire collection.
